The Church and Homosexuality

 

you just need to take a look around the modern Church today to realize that there is something horribly wrong. We have "Christian" leaders telling the world that the Book of Genesis is just a metaphor, accepting Theistic Evolution instead of the straightforward Bible account, and trying to make Jesus just a wise man. nothing else. And these are all, of course, issues the Church need to manage, but I want to talk today about maybe the issue of the day, the subject of homosexuality. You see churches with pride flags on the flagpoles, and the deception even reaches some of our previously conservative denominations, such as the Baptists and Presbyterians. 

    now, I'm going to show you a few Bible verses that show what God thinks about the issue. 

Leviticus 18:22 ~ You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.

Leviticus 20:13 ~ If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

Jude 1:7 ~ Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.

Romans 1:26-27 ~ For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

Mark 10: 6-9 ~ But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”

Now, you only need to see my article about "Pride month" (It's Pride Month, So... ) to see how I feel about this issue, but don't take my word for it. Take God's Word for it. If you call yourself a Christian, you must hate the things God hates, and love the things God loves. God hates any form of vile lusts and passions, so you must as well. God does not compromise on these issues, so you must not. You must speak the truth and not what the world wants to hear. God explicitly states His will for human sexuality and marriage in the last verse I showed you, Mark 10: 6-9. It clearly says His will is for marriage to be between one man and one woman, with absolutely no compromise. In the Old Testament, God's hatred of "Shameful Lusts" was such that He put to death those who sinned against His natural state. God is holy, and such is His Holiness that He must had to punish those who sinned in this way. We are in a day of grace now, so God does not strike pride marches with lightning (no matter how much old steven Anderson wants Him to), and he urges all to repent and come to Him. We need to love "Gay" people, of course, as we would love any other sinner in need of Jesus, but that love does not extend to celebrating their damnable state and urging them on. No, perish the thought. We must preach to them the gospel of Jesus Christ and urge them to repent of their sins. May the Church today wake up to that fact and start standing for the truth of God's Word and the power it has to transform sinners.
